Hours & Schedules
- Centre hours: Monday – Friday, 7:00 am – 6:00 pm
- We are closed on all Ontario statutory holidays
- Two professional development closure days per year (announced in January)
- Early closure days communicated with a minimum 2 weeks notice
- Consistent drop-off by 9:00 am is encouraged for program flow

Fees & Payment
- Fees are due on the 1st of each month via pre-authorized debit
- A $30 NSF fee applies to returned payments
- Two weeks written notice required to withdraw
- CWELCC (Canada-Wide Early Learning) subsidies applied automatically
- Additional subsidy applications available — ask the office for assistance
- Tax receipts issued by February 28 each year

Illness & Exclusion Policy
- Children with a fever of 38°C or higher must stay home
- Children with vomiting or diarrhea must be symptom-free for 24 hours before returning
- Contagious conditions (pink eye, strep, chicken pox) require a doctor's clearance
- Parents will be called to pick up an ill child within 30 minutes
- Medication administration requires a completed Authorization to Administer Medication form

Safe Arrival & Departure
- All doors are secured — buzz in at the main entrance
- Children may only be released to authorized adults listed on the enrollment form
- Photo ID may be requested for unfamiliar pick-up persons
- Court orders restricting access must be provided to the office
- Late pick-up after 6:00 pm incurs a $1/minute fee

Outdoor Play Policy
- Children go outside daily, weather permitting
- Outdoor play occurs in temperatures above -15°C (wind chill factored)
- Please dress children in seasonally appropriate clothing each day
- Sunscreen (SPF 30+) must be applied at home before arrival in summer
- Extra change of clothes kept at the centre at all times

Communication
- Daily activity reports shared via our parent communication app
- Urgent matters communicated by phone — please keep contact info updated
- Parent-educator conferences held twice per year (fall and spring)
- Open-door policy — drop-ins are welcome during the day
- Annual parent satisfaction survey distributed each June

Special Days & Celebrations
- Birthdays celebrated at snack time with a song and small activity
- Please do not bring outside food for birthday celebrations (allergen policy)
- Seasonal celebrations are inclusive and culturally diverse
- Costumes welcome on Halloween — no masks, weapons or scary elements
- Monthly cultural celebration days throughout the year

Guidance & Behaviour
- We use positive guidance and redirection — never punishment or shaming
- Challenging behaviour is addressed collaboratively with families
- Serious incidents documented and shared with parents same-day
- We partner with families to support children with additional needs
- Zero tolerance for physical discipline by any adult at our centre
